Meet the Team
David has been designing control, automation, and power systems since 2006. Starting with Intelligent Systems Automation, a local integrator, David’s focus was primarily in marine and mining industries – designing controls systems, and writing software for customers such as Disney Cruise Lines, NOAA, and PCS Phosphate. In 2016 David became the Principle Electrical Engineer for Thermal Engineering Corporation – designing control and power systems for industrial ovens and paint booths for customers such as Boeing, Georgia Pacific, and James Hardy. In 2020 David joined Feyen Zysltra to lead the Eastern Region for their Industrial Controls Division until it was sold in 2023. Throughout his career David has worked with Charleston Engineering on special projects. Now he brings his experience full time to Charleston Engineering to support the existing electrical engineering services and add systems integration to Charleston Engineering’s service offerings
Rob Turner has been with Charleston Engineering since 2005. Before that he spent 4 years with Lockwood Greene, and 6 years with Wade Crow Engineering, both in Spartanburg, SC. While in Spartanburg, Rob mostly designed schools with 5 of them utilizing geothermal systems. Rob has volunteered with ACE Mentors of Greater Charleston since 2012, as a mentor and chairman of the board. Rob is willing to take on any HVAC challenge and is able to both design new buildings and diagnose existing buildings which have problems with humidity or the envelope.
Rob will confidently take on any renovation job, regardless of the complexity and challenges. You can trust Rob to design the most efficient systems while also looking at cost and payback.
